Relatable Therapists,
Meaningful Relationships

We don't just have degrees on the wall; we have life experiences that help us empathize with your struggles. Our team knows that effective therapy isn't just about methods and strategies—it's about connection, understanding, and trust.

How We Stand Out in the Therapy Space

✓ We're here to be your teammates, not taskmasters. Judging is not our style.

✓ We want you to come to your sessions as yourself. If that means pajamas and tears — we’re game. Be you, because that's who we're here to help.

✓ We're not into one-size-fits-all therapy. We tweak our approach to fit exactly what you need to heal.

✓ Teletherapy? Check. Easy-to-use digital forms? Check. We get it; life's complicated enough.

✓ Our spaces are designed to be as comfy as your favorite reading nook—because feeling comfortable and safe matters.

✓ We've cracked the code with some pretty tough cookies, thanks to our laid-back, yet effective, approach. If opening up is hard for you, we encourage you to give us a try.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sessions range from $100-$225, based on the therapist. We accept cash, check, all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards. While we don't directly accept insurance, we offer a "super-bill" for potential out-of-network reimbursements (typically 60-80% of the session cost, depending on your plan). Many of our clients utilize this benefit to access affordable therapy.

  • Session frequency varies per individual need. Generally, we begin with weekly sessions, adjusting as we evaluate your progress together.

  • Our office is open Monday-Sunday offering a variety of booking options, including after-school/after-work hours and weekends. You can view each individual therapist’s schedule through our online booking platform here. We require 24-hours notice for cancellations in order to avoid the late cancellation/no-show fee.

  • We use SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform akin to popular apps like FaceTime or Zoom. You can easily download it on your phone, tablet, or computer for a seamless experience.

  • Contact a therapist directly or fill our contact form for guidance. We'll connect within 24-48 hours to find your best match. If you're uncertain about which therapist aligns best with your needs, please complete our contact form or email us at rachealturner@turningpointcounseling.net.

  • We're conveniently located in Phoenix, near the 51 and Shea Blvd.

  • The right therapist offers effective tools and makes you feel seen and heard. However, finding the right therapist is kind of like dating. It's a relationship that takes a couple meet and greets to know if it’s a good fit.
