Meet Lauren

I’m Lauren, a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), with a passion for helping adolescents and young adults overcome various challenges in life. I offer a collaborative therapeutic environment, where clients can safely explore their emotions and develop effective coping strategies that best fits their needs. In our sessions, you'll experience support, challenge, and genuine connection. Therapy is a place where your story is heard, and your journey is valued. I’d love to hear your story and provide you the supportive guidance to heal and thrive from what’s holding you back. You deserve to be at peace, so let’s do what it takes to get there.

My Approach

I am a GCU graduate with a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, addressing anxiety, depression, conflict in relationships, boundaries, adjustment disorders, self-esteem, and trauma. Utilizing DBT, CBT, and solution-focused therapy techniques, I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. I am also trained in EMDR to help clients process and heal from all traumas.

My focus is on promoting healthy communication and meaningful relationships, as well as intentional self-care and self-advocacy. I encourage clients to softly challenge themselves to do the “uncomfortable”, even when it seems impossible. I am fully present every step of the way, providing the guidance and support needed to feel heard, validated, and empowered to live a life worth living.
