Meet Kelsey
Hello, I'm Kelsey, a student intern on the journey to earn my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. My passion lies in creating a safe space for you to share your story and guiding you through life's challenges, ultimately building a more resilient foundation for your personal identity.
I've effectively overseen sport psychology programs for three D1 NCAA teams, showcasing my expertise in enhancing team dynamics and individual athlete performance. Additionally, I have experience working with professional athletes in Major League Baseball (MLB), playing a role in fortifying their mental resilience and on-field success.
My Approach
I specialize in supporting teens and adults facing various issues, including general anxiety, performance anxiety, perfectionism, depression, behavioral challenges, self-esteem struggles, trauma, grief, loss, resilience, emotional regulation and conflict resolution. Additionally, I work with couples, focusing on enhancing healthy communication, intimacy, and parenting dynamics.
In my approach, I integrate insights from positive psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, adopting a holistic perspective. We'll explore different facets of your life, addressing social interactions, career satisfaction, and physical well-being. If spirituality is a part of your journey, we can explore that aspect as well.
